During a 2pm ET Press Conference in New York City, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced that Donald Sterling is banned for life from ANY NBA event and will also be fined 2.5 million dollars, the most allowed by the NBA. The fine will be given to charity.

Silver stated he will do whatever is possible to make sure that Sterling is forced to sale the team. He went on to say that he has the owners “full support” to force Sterling out of the NBA.

“I am banning Donald Sterling for life from the Clippers organization”

Silver said the process will begin immediately to force Sterling out of the league.

The NBA Commissioner started off the conference saying that they have completed their investigation on Donald Sterling and he was “outraged.” Silver confirmed that the voice on the tape is in fact Donald Sterling.

If you have not been keeping up with this story, Los Angeles Clippers Owner Donald Sterling has been in the news for a few days after being recorded by his girlfriend saying racial slurs in a behind–closed–doors conversation. This is not the first time that Sterling has been in the news, he has been cited multiple times for have racist remarks and tendencies.

Check out the whole recorded tape here: DONALD STERLING TMZ/DEADSPIN TAPE

This was just the straw that broke the camels back…

On Monday, multiple sponsors pulled their support of the Clippers and players around the league wore black socks to show their support for the Clippers organization. There have been protests and comments made by many people throughout the nation. In a league where 73% of the players are African American, there is no room for any sort of racism.

The Clippers play game four tonight in Los Angeles.

It will be interesting to see if the NBA owners will attempt to force Sterling to sell his team or what comes next. Sterling is a well-known litigator so don’t expect this ordeal to be over quickly.

Adam Silver is already getting overwhelming support on Twitter from fans and athletes around the world.

We have been waiting to hear what would come next in the DC world

…. and now we know….

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Warner Brothers production president Greg Silverman confirmed that Zack Snyder would be directing a Justice League movie after finishing up the 2016 film Batman/Superman

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” … “Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League.”

This is exciting news for comic book fans. Marvel has been pushing out multiple films per year and it is about time DC tapped into the market.

While we do not know exactly who will be casted for the upcoming Justice League film, you can assume that Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Louis Lane), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Jermey Irons (Alfred) and Ben Affleck (Batman) will all involved.

Who knows if they will bring Ryan Reynolds back to reprise his role as the Green Lantern.

#HOTD will keep you posted on this and other upcoming movie news.

Craig Ferguson to Leave ‘Late Late Show’ in December

Craig Ferguson plans to step down from hosting CBS’ “ The Late Late Show” in December when his contract with the network expires. Ferguson has been with the studio for over a decade coming on the air after David Letterman.

Ferguson broke the news to his studio audience during Monday’s “Late Late Show” taping.

“CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘consciously uncoupling,’ but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much” – Ferguson

Ferguson’s decision comes a few weeks after Letterman announced his retirement, and about two weeks after CBS named Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert as his successor.

Check this out….from Variety:

“Ferguson’s move was not a surprise given CBS’ decision to turn elsewhere for Letterman’s replacement. Ferguson’s last contract with CBS ensured him a windfall payout of an estimated $8 million-$10 million once the Eye opted against giving him “The Late Show” slot.”

It will be interesting to see who CBS brings on to run “The Late Late Show”.
